Shame, on me I haven’t posted in over a week. In my defense it has been very hectic at both work and home. We are going through a re-org at work, and I am planning Baby Girl’s 1st birthday party for this Sunday. There are a few random things that I would like to mention.
1. Carey Torrice
She is one of the County Commissioners in Macomb County (where we live), and she has been voted as the sexiest politician. How lovely. You should check her website… its really…well…interesting. I don’t know what she is thinking. Honestly, does she think people take her seriously? I am all for hot women in politics, but dont degrade or demean yourself. Act with some class… don’t put up some skank-orific “modeling” pictures on your political website. Wow.
2. I love the video that MoveOn.Org sent me this morning. It was like a newscast mock of the day after the election if McCain won by 1 vote. It was basically saying that every vote counts and to get out and vote… if not then the world will be disappointed in you. Okay, I know I cant do it justice… but it is funny. I will post a link later since the only one I have has my full name in it 
3. I got a bogus email about ELF Cosmetics (Eyes Lips Face) being bought out by Nordstrom, and everything is only $1 because they are re-branding it. Well its not true. But ELF Cosmetics are legit and most everything is only $1. Well I was feeling a bit frisky and decided to buy some. I mean, why not – its so cheap. I read a lot of mixed reviews online, but I thought for the price who really cares. So I bought some last week, and I got it yesterday. One of the main complaints I read online was that it took too long to ship. I think most of those reviews were written a while ago. Two of my girlfriends orded at nearly the same time and their stuff has arrived as well.
I got a bunch of stuff, and I think that its pretty good quality. Obviously not the absolute best of the best… but its not crap, even if it is only $1. I tried some eye shadows and lip glosses and they were on par with the brands you find at the drugstore. The brushes are great. Brushes are usually pretty expensive so its good to know you can get quality ones for a small price. I am all about bargains.
I only write this here because I know that they have gotten some grief on the internet, and I wanted to post a positive story. I like it, and will buy it again.
