I like the word miscellaneous. Its odd. I like that.
Last week we found a baby mole in our house. Due to the fact that it was blind, slow, and very small we had no problem catching it. We were nice and let it out… in our creepy neighbor’s yard.
Friends of ours are getting married this Saturday, so last weekend was the bachelor and bachelorette parties. We both had a good time and made it home in one piece (mostly). As I was drunkenly stumbling home from white castle, I definitely fell and scraped myself up a little. Yeah… not the wisest decision of my life… but dammit the drunken white castles were delicious. I do feel a little bad though, I called a cab and left the party early.
Work has been a little overwhelming lately. Our numbers started dropping here in the 2nd quarter drastically, and my boss is getting nervous. He’s not a guy that usually gets nervous, so that is making everyone nervous. We aren’t in danger of closing our doors… but there is a possibility of layoffs. In both April and May we took in only half the revenue of the previous year. Half. We are hoping that June is a better month, so that we can keep everyone employed.
Also, we are planning a big conference that is in three weeks. Its my responsibility to plan, coordinate, and run the conference and the last few weeks leading up to it are always the toughest. People still haven’t registered… we need to alter the room count… promotional items haven’t shipped yet… the program isnt done… etc. But Im remaining optimistic. This isn’t my first show baby, so Im ready for whatever comes my way.
My daughter is 19 months old. HOW did that happen??? She just all of a sudden is a toddler. She is repeating everything we say. And making us laugh on purpose. She sings nursery rhymes and loves to play outside and climb on things. Im like most parents I guess, getting caught up in the cuteness of my child. I’d love to post pictures to share, but I am undecided on that.
Im thankful for the relaxing 3 day weekend. Other than that slight hang over on Sunday, it was great.
